Latest jw broadcast referring to allegations of protecting pedophiles
by jonahstourguide inhi folks.. i put this in abuse as i thought it relevant.. a physically in mentally out friend that considers our friendship greater than religion told me that on the latest broadcast steven lett alluded to satans voice being behind people that claim the organisation protects pedophiles.. my friend then went on to say they must be in damage control.. he added, but that is correct, they are hiding their internal records.
is not that construed as protecting the accused?.
if i get the inclination i may post a snippet of what was actually said.. sadly my friend is trying to protect his family relationships and so goes along with the charade.. his situation weighs on me but, as many of you here know, it can be a difficult road to travel.. jtg.

'Dismissal filed in lawsuit alleging abuse by church elder
Allegations also said other elders threatened to sue family of victim if they referred abuse complaint to law enforcement.
The Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Rockport. Stephen BettsROCKLAND — A notice of dismissal has been filed in a lawsuit lodged last year, alleging a local woman was repeatedly sexually assaulted as a child by an elder at the Rockland Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rockport, and other elders discouraged the family from going to police.
The notice of dismissal was filed Jan. 14 in the Knox County court by attorney Michael Bigos of Lewiston who represents the woman. Terms of any settlement were not included in the court file.
A telephone message and email were made to Bigos on Monday morning, Jan. 31. No response has been received. An email was also sent Monday morning to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. which was one of the defendants in the lawsuit. There also has been no response from that organization.
The woman alleged in the lawsuit — filed in October 2021 — she was molested multiple occasions between 1993 and 1996 when she was 11 to 13 years old. The victim disclosed to her mother about the abuse in 1996 and the mother immediately informed the other elders of the congregation, the lawsuit stated.
Instead of investigating the allegations or removing the elder from his position, the elders threatened a lawsuit against the victim’s family if they went public. The pressure led the family not to report the abuse to law enforcement, according to the lawsuit.
Shortly after the woman reported the abuse, the congregation disfellowshipped her, with the elder who said she abused her serving on the judicial committee that took the action.
AdvertisementThe newspaper is not identifying the woman because she is alleged to be the victim of sexual assault.
The allegations in the lawsuit follow numerous media reports nationwide about Watchtower having compiled a lengthy list of suspected child sexual predators within congregations. A March 2019 article in the Atlantic stated “in March 1997, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, the nonprofit organization that oversees the Jehovah’s Witnesses, sent a letter to each of its 10,883 U.S. congregations, and to many more congregations worldwide. The organization was concerned about the legal risk posed by possible child molesters within its ranks. The letter laid out instructions on how to deal with a known predator: Write a detailed report answering 12 questions—Was this a onetime occurrence, or did the accused have a history of child molestation? How is the accused viewed within the community? Does anyone else know about the abuse?—and mail it to Watchtower’s headquarters in a special blue envelope. Keep a copy of the report in your congregation’s confidential file, the instructions continued, and do not share it with anyone.”
The public information desk for Watchtower issued a statement in October 2021 to the Courier-Gazette in response to a request for comment on the lawsuit filed in Knox County.
“Out of respect for the judicial process and the privacy of those involved, we do not comment on the details of pending litigation. For more information on the scriptural position of Jehovah’s Witnesses, please visit jw.org,” according to the statement.
In October, Bigos issued his own statement.
“Our client is a survivor of horrible abuse. She was threatened with church disfellowship and adverse consequences in her afterlife if she brought a claim or asked for help outside of the church. Now she realizes that she was not alone. She sought help from medical providers and trauma-informed advocates and is now ready to come forward. She wants to hold her abuser accountable and make her community safer by preventing this from ever happening again. This is not her fault. She is not alone,” Bigos said in his Oct. 7 statement.
AdvertisementBigos said in October the Washington man who molested the young woman remained an elder and was the registered agent for the congregation.
According to the lawsuit, at age 17 the victim wanted to rejoin the Jehovah’s Witnesses along her with then-boyfriend, but was told she would need to recant her abuse allegation.
The lawsuit stated it was well-known in the congregation during the time of the abuse the elder was treating her differently than other girls in the congregation. The elder would regularly have her spend the night at his residence in Washington after bible studies at his home. The elder also provided one-on-one bible study to the girl despite a policy that did not permit elders to be alone with minor girls.
The lawsuit also alleges Watchtower issued policies to elders, and among these recommendations were to report allegations of child molestation to Watchtower, rather than law enforcement. The elders should also not warn the congregation of threats posed by an accused child abuser, and the elders should not cooperate when confronted with a search warrant, but instead contact Watchtower.
Watchtower had supervision over the elder accused of the molestation at the Rockland Congregation, the lawsuit stated.'

'False and exaggerated news reports are very common.'Oct. 9, 2021'Lawsuit alleges church elder sexually abused youth
Allegations also say other elders threatened to sue family of victim if they referred abuse complaint to law enforcement.
ShareA lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a local woman who said she was repeatedly sexually assaulted as a child by an elder at the Rockland Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rockport.

The woman is represented by Maine attorney Michael Bigos of Berman & Simmons, and California attorney Devin Storey of the Zalkin Firm, who both have specialties in pursuing sexual abuse lawsuits.

A Watchtower search for 'metabolic health' doesn't come up. In the Sept. broadcast they seem to OK a processed cereal. No beef, bacon, butter or eggs.
'You may need to consider your intake of salt, fats, and sugar, and you should watch your portion sizes. Include fruits and vegetables in your diet, and vary what you eat. Reading the packaging will help you to select whole-grain foods when buying bread, cereals, pasta, or rice.'Myth - 'healthy salt, and animal fats are bad'. Whole-grain foods, fruits (fructose) should come with a warning. And no seed oils. -

It’s all a big fat lie. More precisely a big low-fat, high-carbohydrate lie.
'It took Dr. Paul Marik 12 weeks to prove that conventional wisdom about dieting is a lie, and that was just to himself. He lost 35 pounds, and cured himself of Type 2 diabetes. In last night’s weekly webinar, he proved it to all of us watching.
As Dr. Marik shared, “the common teaching is that Type 2 diabetes is a chronic, progressive disease that can't be cured. This is false. They don't want you to be cured. They want you to take medication forever, and their treatment is to lower your glucose with medication. Both of these are lies.”
Our Betsy Ashton hosted the weekly update, and it was clear this subject was very close to her heart. We found out her father passed away from diabetes at just 53 years old. Every morning when he got up, she said he headed straight for the sticky buns.
Betsy introduced Dr. Marik and Dr. Joseph Varon, who recalled how Dr. Marik had once frightened him terribly, calling him to say, “Joe, I'm in the hospital because my sugar is 600.” Dr. Varon knew well the awful consequences of diabetes: heart disease, amputations, blindness.
Mark Twain once said, “Education is mainly what we have unlearned.” Well, last night was a chance to unlearn the lies, learn the real causes of diabetes, and learn how and what to eat to heal yourself — whether or not you suffer from diabetes.'

'Big Tech Companies Involved in Government Censorship
On the private industry side, notable tech participants in the censorship meetings include:
Google
Facebook
Twitter
YouTube
Reddit
Microsoft
Verizon Media
Pinterest
LinkedIn
Wikimedia Foundation
While some social media companies may have “hesitated” to censor on the government’s behalf at times, Facebook was certainly an eager beaver from the get-go. As early as February 2020, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was in contact with the State Department, offering its services to help “control information and misinformation related to coronavirus.”8''

Definition of deep state
: an alleged secret network of especially nonelected government officials and sometimes private entities (as in the financial services and defense industries) operating extralegally to influence and enact government policy
The power of the deep state comes from experience, knowledge, relationships, insight, craft, special skills, traditions, and shared values. Together, these purported attributes make nameless bureaucrats into a supergovernment that is accountable to no one. That is a scary prospect.— David Rothkopf
What the archbishop suspected was a crime stage-managed by Turkey's "deep state"—an opaque underworld where powerful elements within the state, especially the military and security services, act in conjunction with violent extremist groups … as well as the apolitical criminal underworld, to undertake special, illegal operations in the political interest of the country's ruling elite.— John EibnerJehovah's Witnesses -
'Rather than participate in any attempt to subvert the government, we follow the Bible’s counsel to pray for “kings and all those who are in positions of authority,” especially when they are making decisions that could affect freedom of worship.' - their websiteThe First to Timothy 2:1,2'First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made concerning all sorts of men, concerning kings and all those who are in high positions, so that we may go on leading a calm and quiet life with complete godly devotion and seriousness.'
So yes, 'those who are in high positions' would include the 'deep state' and may be prayed for.Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth think they can actually take on the deep state and somehow win. Good Luck!

That day was probably September 11, 1977, at the conclusion of the 63rd Gilead graduation at the Assembly Hall in Long Island City, New York. The chairman of the meeting, Karl Klein (who always seemed to me, as having garbled speech, unless it was just his heavy German accent) was wrapping up the meeting.13 years later, Barbara Anderson describes him this way.'Around 1990, enter Governing Body member, Karl Klein into the picture, a doddering old fellow that lacked good sense or judgment at this point in his life.'
AndJAVA wrote: 22 years ago'I received this from a former member of Bethel.' ...Karl called me in for an unexpected meeting at his office one afternoon not long after the Sanchez's and Quilan's were evicted from Bethel... I knew I had been in the company of a certifiable nut.'
Karl Klein had been at Bethel since March 23,1925, so who does he call on to give prayer? Himself? Another GB member? No! New boy Leon Weaver, Jr.Karl Klein seemed lacking in social graces, apparently the Judge didn't know how to pass on proper etiquette to him.In Karl's Life Story he wrote in 1984.'Brother Rutherford was like an understanding and loving father to me,It might be added that Brother Rutherford’s prayers at morning worship also endeared him to me. Though he had such a powerful voice, when addressing God he sounded just like a little boy talking to his daddy. What a fine relationship with Jehovah that revealed! To have a man of such spiritual stature taking the lead was faith strengthening to me,'
So instead of 'taking the lead' like Rutherford did in prayer, Karl Klein calls on new boy Leon Weaver to give the prayer. Perhaps he was so excited that the GB had picked Leon, a black, and member of the great crowd to stay at Bethel and perhaps lead us into the New World with his eventual leadership position that any etiquette he had was abandoned at the time.Leon and his wife were sitting in the new boy section, second row from the top in the balcony.
This likely was Leon Weaver's first Gilead graduation experience. As he walks down the right aisle, putting on his coat during the song, I'm thinking is this Klein for real? It was the first time I saw an unanointed give a prayer at a Gilead Graduation.I could tell he was nervous, who wouldn't be, granted he'd been a CO for a decade, but it wasn't you're normal long Gilead prayer. Afterward seemingly to tell Karl, he wasn't expecting that, who chuckled and seemed to reply like, "I knew you'd do fine."-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------'For 24 years, I worked in the Service Department, where brothers often deal with sensitive and complex questions.'Is 'sensitive and complex questions' code for ,'we have some 1st class sickos in this religion'? How many child molesters did he help cover for, while in the Service Department?https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/watchtower-study-september-2022/I-Have-Enjoyed-Learning-and-Teaching-About-Jehovah/
